Head along to Arreton Barns to visit the Shipwreck Centre and Maritime Museum for a fascinating day out.  This massive collection of treasures from wrecks all over the world has been collected over the last forty years by professional diver Martin Woodward.  He has lovingly preserved and displayed every piece for the public to enjoy and is constantly adding to it despite diving for more than 50 years!
There are lots of free activities for children, if your child has ever expressed an interest in Pirates this is the place to come.  The famous ‘Pieces of Eight’ coins are on display and children can take part in a Treasure Hunt, Pirate Trail worksheet, Knotting, Crack the Code and more.
It doesn’t disappoint for a great day out and when you’ve finished visiting the Museum there are plenty of other attractions at Arreton Barns so all in all a great place to visit.
Open every day Mid February to December 10am – 5pm
